Casey Kimball, Trial Attorney

Attorney Casey Kimball is an experienced and award winning trial attorney who focuses her practice on representing those injured in motor vehicle wrecks, criminal defense including DUI, theft, possession of narcotics, trafficking in narcotics, traffic offenses and all felony offenses as well as defense of a Probation Revocation proceeding. Casey received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Louisville in 2003 and her J.D. from Salmon P. Chase college of Law in 2006. After receiving her limited license to practice law while a third year law student at The Children's Law Center in Northern Kentucky working on behalf of child victims, she spent 4 years as a trial attorney in felony and misdemeanor criminal cases for the Louisville Metro Public Defender's office. After winning the vast majority of her trials on her theory of defense and receiving the Louisville Bar Association's "Frank Haddad Young Lawyer Award" in 2009, she opened up her own law practice specializing in criminal defense and various family law matters.

In the summer of 2012, Casey was asked to join the assigned counsel list in Family Court Division Four to represent parents involved with CPS cases in their process to navigate legal hurdles in family reconciliation. Although she has many private clients, she finds her work for the indigent men and women in family court very rewarding, drawing upon her past experience representing the indigent persons of Jefferson County within the criminal justice system.


Casey is an outspoken proponent of equality of all Kentuckians and supports the LGBT fairness movement. Casey is a board member for C-Fair, a political action committee focused on equality for all the citizens of the Commonwealth. She was a panelist on the Kentucky Bar Association's first ever LGBT Panel discussion regarding the recent change in laws, both state and nationwide, As an owner of a number of adopted animals over the years, Casey also supports no kill animal shelters. In her spare time Casey enjoys reading about history and enjoys the many public libraries in Louisville and Jefferson County.
